ABOUT ILLUMINA

visualise the brilliance of the world’s largest sand island

what is ‘return to sky’?

Illumina begins with the ‘Return to Sky’ show - an extraordinary journey into the heart of K’gari, exploring the island’s unique landscapes, regeneration, and growth.

The show captivates audiences with ethereal beauty, casting vibrant hues and intricate patterns across the sky, celebrating the movement, texture, and colour of K’gari as the narrative of the world’s largest sand island unfolds.

Return to Sky fosters a deeper understanding and appreciation for K’gari, and leaves guests in awe of the fragile ecosystem.

where is Illumina?

Kingfisher Bay Resort is a four-star eco-resort nestled amongst the tree-covered dunes on the western side of K’gari (formerly Fraser Island).

The pristine, untouched shores of K’gari are located 15km off the east coast of Hervey Bay, Queensland, just 300km north of Brisbane. Direct flights to Hervey Bay are available from Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne.
